About Wofo
Our Story
How Wofo started — and why we’re building a better way to support healthcare staffing.
Revolutionising healthcare staffing since 2018
Wofo was created to solve a growing problem in healthcare staffing, making it faster and easier for facilities and workers to connect when support was needed most.
Originally developed in 2018 as a platform designed to connect workers and employers quickly and efficiently, early pilots with some of New Zealand’s most trusted healthcare providers demonstrated the impact technology could have in improving workforce flexibility and responsiveness.
Today, Wofo proudly operates as Aotearoa’s first share economy platform dedicated entirely to healthcare staffing. Our focus is helping frontline healthcare workers find meaningful opportunities that align with their skills, experience, availability, and goals while helping facilities access reliable staff when they need them most.
What started as an idea between two founders has grown into a nationwide healthcare staffing platform supporting thousands of contractors and facilities across New Zealand. Despite the growth, the mission remains the same: build a better experience for workers, facilities, and ultimately the people receiving care.
Shaping the future of healthcare staffing
Wofo continues to evolve through technology, partnerships, and a relentless focus on improving outcomes for both workers and providers. We believe healthcare staffing should be flexible, transparent, responsive, and rewarding for everyone involved.
